Greatly loved and happily united
Smoothing the path to the finest tea harmony with the new SONNENTOR Tea Enjoyment brochure!
Do you know which SONNENTOR tea is best enjoyed with a splash of milk? Which one is the best thirst quencher in summer, or which tea to use for punches? Detailed answers to these and many, many other questions are practically explained, and now available in our new tea brochure. Close your eyes and transfer yourself to Waldviertel, a beautiful woodland area. In this tranquil part of northern Austria, where old traditions are still alive, we mix the best herbs for your tea. Our products can be found in SONNENTOR shops and other selected stores. Our brochure makes it easy to choose the right tea for every occasion.
Loose tea, pyramid tea or traditional tea bags? Total pleasure, an experience for eyes and taste buds or a quick cup? If you prefer loose tea and take time for a little ceremony and ritual, you are rewarded with delicious aroma and taste. On the other hand, pyramid tea bags contain roughly cut herbs, which are rich in essential oils and therefore particularly rich in taste. Herbs in traditional tea bags are cut much smaller and should therefore be used quickly.
Choosing the right food companion, too. Although in Central Europe tea is mainly associated with breakfast, it would be a shame to reduce it to only that. With the complexity of its bitter, sweet and fruity flavours, tea is actually similar to wine and can enhance taste experiences. In the new SONNENTOR “Tea Enjoyment” brochure you will find out about the different flavour groups. When you learn which of these groups our herbs, spices, fruit teas, as well as black, green and white teas belong to, you will discover, how to match them exquisitely with food.
Not only are herbal teas with mint notes the perfect start to the day, but they go well with fruit or yogurt desserts. Spicy dishes with garlic also benefit from the cool mint flavour. A current passion for SONNENTOR is to make organic herbal tea blends with spices such as ginger, cumin, anise, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. At Christmas time, make sure, ginger-flavoured teas are at hand. They complement sweet and spicy desserts like gingerbread and cinnamon mousse parfait.
Fruit teas, with their intensely fruity notes, are wonderful companions for game dishes. On hot summer days, cold fruit tea mixed with fruit juice is an excellent basis for a refreshing punch or an alcohol-free cocktail. Fruit ice cream is always worth sinning for!
Black Tea (Earl Grey, Darjeeling), with its aromatic floral notes, tastes delicious with dark chocolate cake, nougat desserts or dark berries. A splash of milk gives the black tea more depth and is especially enjoyable with cake at afternoon teatime.
Rooibos is exceptionally versatile. The red exotic tea from South Africa is the perfect base for mulled wine or punch, a wonderful companion for desserts and cakes, and a healthy drink for children.
Strong, dry, mildly tart or fruity, you are sure to find a suitable Green Tea for almost any fish dish.
Another versatile food companion is White Tea – its delicate flavours go well with light summer salads and pulses, and the slightly sweeter White Power & Protection tea complements mushrooms, sweet vegetables and white fish. The luxurious drink is also a worthy companion for desserts that use almonds or coconut.
As with all SONNENTOR products, all ingredients are grown organically in the Waldviertel region. Herbs and spices that require other climatic conditions are sourced from fair trade organic farms. This reflects the SONNENTOR core values, summarised in their motto – “Where joy grows, naturally” and evident in every product.
